Beliefs
Shepherd’s Field Family Church derives all of our doctrinal beliefs from the Bible and believes the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments to be the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
Furthermore, as an autonomous congregation, we subscribe to The 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith along with various addendums which clarify Biblical positions with which our theological forefathers did not have to wrestle.
We believe that The Five Solas of the Reformation and The Doctrines of Grace are true and helpful in forming God glorifying churches and families. We further declare our substantial agreement with and the spiritual benefit of the historic Confessions of the church such as The Three Forms of Unity (The Belgic Confession, The Canons of Dort, and The Heidelberg Catechism), The Westminster Confession (along with The Larger and Shorter Catechisms), and The Baptist Catechism of 1693.
Our Mission
We exist to celebrate, worship and glorify our God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as a family caring for one another, cultivating unity, compassion, acts of service, and spiritual growth. The mission of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ in the power of the Spirit to the glory of the Father.
- Sola Scriptura: Scripture Alone
- Sola Fide: Faith Alone
- Sola Gratia: Grace Alone
- Solus Christus: Christ Alone
- Soli Deo Gloria: To the Glory of God Alone
Visitor Information
Service
Our service typically lasts from 9:30 to 10:45, with fellowship time following. The worship songs are a mix of old and new styles, but they all share biblically sound lyrics. Fellow believers in Christ are invited to share communion with us every Sunday.
Children
We believe that the church gathering is most Biblical and God-honoring when families worship together. While no childcare is provided, we do have two dedicated spaces for changing, nursing, and caring for infants.
Dress
Most members and attendees wear casual clothes to our service.
